What are Jumbo Bags?

Jumbo bags are bags made especially for transporting or shipping of dry, flowable products. These bags are particularly useful in the fields of pharmaceutical industry and food production.

Static electricity happens when there’s a discrepancy of electric charges in certain materials. Types of FIBC Bags and Their Uses

Generally speaking, there are four main types of bags that are commonly used in carrying out various jumbo bag applications.

Regular FIBC Bags: This type of jumbo bags is the most common and is widely used. It has the capacity to carry load ranging from 500 kg to 2000 kg. The dimensions of the jumbo bag greatly depend on the preferences and needs of the customer. It’s commonly used in transporting dry substances that are not flammable and in powder form.

Conductive FIBC Bags: This type of jumbo bag is also known as the Type C bags, which is made with non-conductive polypropylene fabrics. This jumbo bag is used in transporting flammable powdery substances or if there’s combustible dust surrounding the bags being filled or discharged.

Dissipative FIBC Bags: This type of jumbo bag is made of antistatic fabric and also comes with static dissipative threads. It’s used in transporting flammable powder or if there are flammable solvents surrounding the bag. This bag should not be used whenever there are water, grease and other conductor-type materials that may contaminate the bag.

FIBC Bags with Liners: This type of jumbo bag is made of polyethene, multi-layer laminate that’s utilized in storing and transportation of materials that are extremely hygroscopic. The liners are stitched to the bags for added support, protection and to make sure the product is safe from contamination.
